We did it! On Thursday, March 14th, I had the honor of witnessing Governor Jay Inslee sign the bill into Washington State law. This victory stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts within our industry, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to advocate on behalf of PHCC of WA members like yourself.
The passage of SB 5997 represents a culmination of dedicated work and meaningful discussions throughout 2023, aimed at addressing critical issues stemming from SB 6170 in 2020. Through partnership and perseverance, we have achieved a win-win-win outcome that benefits industry stakeholders, consumers, and our community as a whole.
