PHCCWA Goals 2003

Legislation
The PHCCWA plans to keep very active in the legislative arena for the upcoming legislative session.

The PHCCWA may look to introduce or back future licensing changes concerning the plumbing industry.

The PHCCWA will continue to watch legislation as it pertains to the industry, mainly any code changes which may be presented.

The PHCCWA is planning to continue its partnership with the IBA in the future with other plumbing related issues. The PHCCWA may also look at other legislative issues, which are not directly plumbing related, but may affect the plumbing businesses.

Education
The PHCCWA plans to offer classes, which will count towards the 16-hour requirement for continuing education for plumbers. We can do this by networking with wholesalers and manufacturers to bring product training to the members as necessary.

The PHCCWA plans to continue support of CITC and offering 1st - 4th year training classes where necessary. The PHCCWA also plans to maintain board positions on the CITC Board of Directors.

The PHCCWA will continue to have networking meetings in the Tacoma, Seattle, and Bellingham areas and will add new meeting locations as they become necessary.

Plumbers Advisory Board
The PHCCWA plans to continue the activity on the plumbers advisory board and will always at the very least be a guest at the meetings. The PHCCWA is always welcoming anyone who would like to attend these meetings or apply for a gubernatorial appointment to the Board.
